I have a feeling I'm going to be in the minority here but this latest development worries me. I would have preferred this fight to be about Luffy beating a high level haki user in his prime, like Doflamingo was, and nothing more. It would have showcased his development during the timeskip as he had never done that previously. I know some people will point to his previous fights with Enel (devil fruit and haki) and Chinjao (two haki types), but one was because of Luffy having an innate advantage due to his devil fruit and the other was well past his prime and nowhere near as strong as before. I think it would have kept the inevitable power creep to a relatively reasonable level. Instead he is going to beat an opponent who has a high level of both CoC and CoA haki, as well as a fully awakened devil fruit. I feel it's too big a jump at this time and that the later fights are going to be even more ridiculous than they are now in their levels of power.
