That's really odd. I get a reply within minutes if I send an e-mail during their normal business hours. Their customer service is top-notch IMO. I order my Gundam kits almost exclusively from them now (can't beat 20% off).
And yeah, never, ever use glue on a joint.
If you wanted to tighten it, I guess you could apply a layer of paint or something. But never glue.
