Naruto is still the person he is before, meaning he is still acting on his instincts, while also being well aware that the path he chose will eventually lead him to killing a person.
However, the second part I have pointed out mainly targets how we or the fans perceive Naruto. Does Kishi currently consider Naruto as being ready to take the turn towards that nonreturnable path or will he try to delay this moment as much as he can since delaying is still possible?
