Take it from someone with over 3Tb (~3.4 at last tally) -- it really does get difficult to maintain quality and quantity. In my collection there are a couple series I really don't think were particularly good (recent example: Gift ~Eternal Rainbow~) but kept for the sake of keeping. >.>
Hoarding can become a very nasty habit if you're not careful. ^^;;
That said, a Tb of -good- anime is quite easy. G'luck expanding your collection.
