Spoiler for Episode 12:
What a finale! At first I thought it was a bit convenient for him to be able to collect all of the papers that flew about, but then, the way it played out made up for it. She couldn't forget -- and not because she somehow magically reversed her condition or something, but because she'd have to somehow wipe her mind clean for 13-straight hours, and Renji is all she's been able to think about. "13 hours is a long time, isn't it?" What a line... The music in this episode was, again, exceptional.
The "dream" epilogue basically wrapped everything up nicely. The all-call "all the characters say their closing lines to tie things together" scene reminded me so much of a theatrical play it's not even funny. I think that's the first time I've seen anything like that in anime. Stick around 'till the very end, after the credits, for an important scene.
By the way, also note the very small, but very symbolic, change in the OP.

Oooops, I just found everything I want to say you already said it...
This being said, I want to add a few points.
Spoiler for spoiler:
Somehow in this episode, the kanji and kana finally match each other. Maybe a sign of the harmony the characters finally achieve?
Those four kanji+kana mean: memory, story, fairy tale and
, in that order.
We got a coda episode? That's cheating
so we will not likely get an extry episode in DVD..
Also we end up with (possibly) 4 couples...although Kei and Kyosuke still a little bit away from that.
Have to say this is one of the best series finale I have seen for quite a while. Everything is wrapped up and the main points crossed. The paper plane scene is absolutely breathtaking. And Motoki Takagi has gained quite a few points back from me with his now more determinative voice play.
This is an instant classic. I will not settle for less than an A+ for the whole series.
