I thought the ending of Bakeneko was remarkably tragic myself when we learn about the reason that the mononoke appears. I had a similar reaction to the story in the first Mononoke arc about the mistress of the bordello who murdered her employees' babies.

Bartender - More of a relaxing than emotional imo

Episode two really got to me. I felt so bad about how Miwa had carried around the events with the broken whisky bottle for twenty years. Having raised a daughter essentially single-handedly, I'm a sucker for stories about young girls. I cry sometimes watching Usagi Drop as well, because I can relate so directly to some of the issues it depicts.

But yea, I'm interested in all kinds of genre. Just keep in mind I'm less sensitive/emotional than most people.

I'm at the other end of the spectrum for a male, I think. For instance, I never could finish watching Grave of the Fireflies.
