although kanon has an harem look, the content, the plot and the pace... the whole anime is absolutely not something you can compare with conventional harem. (yuuichi is not a loser, and probably NOT lucky in his situation, he is NOT here to grab a girl)
granted, this is rather a dramatic story, with lots of romantic touch, comedy and so on.
