My oscillinium does that. Kind of inspired from that gas you said your Ichika invented. It's a highly excitable molecular structure. A tiny current and the molecules go ballistic making the metal practically plasma already. Under normal circumstances it's just a permanently vibrating metal. This made it non-ideal for armor but interesting as a non-energy consuming vibro-blade.
