Listen, Global Warming warning in anime has been around since DORAMON, you know, the magic cat who visit Nobita with wonderful gadgets in the 70s and 80s. Japan, China and most countries in the world don't regard global warming as some kind of liberal myth.
Also, for anti-drug campaigns? Go play the original Street Fighter, they will pop up an FBI message saying "Winner don't use drugs" and it has been a standard in the industry (at least arcade) for a very long time. We all learned to live with it.
