Halo Reach...is an interesting animal. The game play mechanics for Multiplayer and campaign IMHO were the best of any Halo game ever. Everything just felt right, and flowed together beautifully. Gameplay had a bunch of fun new modes, and the revamped enemies were a tough and challenging blast to fight.

Though it quite rightly deserves to be remembered as the WORST Halo game made by Bungie narrative wise. I think I'd rank it something like...

Halo CE>Halo 3>Halo ODST>Halo 2>>>Halo Reach

The Reach campaign was just clunky narratively. It felt less like a campaign and more a series of random unconnected missions that you got dropped into without context. This made it feel like you were just wandering about randomly shooting things, with the game not providing the player with any seemingly strong goal until the last two levels of the game, when you're given a new objective without any warning or hint.
