Nice work, looks like you've been playing with the image trace option. With the image trace, if you pick a complex object to trace with a lot of different tones, it'll turn out sort of awkward. Overall, the one you picked did okay in the tracing process.
As for the actual logo itself, I don't know if this is occurring on your end, but the letters are seeping through the empty spaces in your trace. If it is occurring on your file, the remedy is to select the path surrounding the missing areas and just add a fill colour of your choosing.
Overall, it's a good start for sure. If you really want to tweak and remove any strange edges or blending, grab individual points in the fixing area and move them around. With enough tweaking, you can really get super detailed.
