I don't really mind though if SHAFT wants to cut excessive filler conversations and scenes but to omit that very point when Araragi having conversation with Shinobu after witnessing and guessing the real reason of the catastrophe--is really unbearable to me. It is somewhat a really important line (to me at least).

I kind of figured from the whole conversation that Araragi was planning on dying together with Shinobu, and I haven't read any of the novels. I don't think it has to be explicitly said to get the idea across.
