Actually Laura's IS is the true all rounder. Long range support is one of its strong points but not its primary purpose. One reason why Laura is so strong is because from a theoretical point of view her IS have no obvious weakness. It has a powerful railgun but The AIC field on Laura's IS actually give it a huge advantage in melee. And many have lost against her forgetting that Laura is actually more dangerous in close quarters than at long range.
