It has been for a while. And not just Madoka being one of the most popular shows in general (eg, not just the MSh genre).
The Nanoha franchise hasn't really gone anywhere in a while, and won't until the next animated work.
Which will probably be never since Tsuzuki cares more about Dog Days now.
Plus Madoka in general appeals to a far greater fan base than the Nanoha one. Most don't even associate it with MSh.
Though I must admit as far as grabbing me, DD's 1st episode did a much better job of it then S1, A's, and especially StrikerS did.
Also DAT voice cast.
