-Yeah, sounds more plausible. Especially if Hayato's singing sucks and he was called to do a performance out of the blue and they simply substituted his musically talented brother instead. Maybe it lead to Tokiya having to perform as his brother multiple times (and thus propel Hayato's stardom but not gaining any recognition himself) and he grew bitter and resentful towards his brother.
