As volume 10 is now finally available in the US, I have at last been able to read it.

The author is working hard to make sure everything that can go wrong DOES go wrong. The false Mina, who I shall call Telomere, has sent all of Beowulf and her personal retainers over to Russia to hunt down Ivanovic's clan, conveniently removing those most likely to figure out that she's not who she seems and be able to do something about it. Mina was helped to escape from Rozenmann by a mysterious individual, only to be captured again when some of Rozenmann's thugs threatened brutalities to a human and her daughter who had helped Mina while she was loose. Vampires infected with the Pied Piper have rampaged through a subway station, infecting over 300 people, and almost all of the vaccine needed to prevent them from turning has been 'mysteriously' ruined. Yuki discovered that Telomere was not Mina, but is still unable to speak, and tried to alert Akira via email... forgetting the most important fact about email: it is NOT a secure method of communication. Telomere intercepted it, and now has Yuki alone in a room guarded by that creepy inspector from several chapters ago who tried to frame Yuki for Mina's poisoning, along with seceral of his armed henchmen, who have orders to shoot anyone trying to get in, including Akira. Also, duke Borgiani has been working directly with Telomere, and was the one who alerted her to Yuki's email, suggesting he KNOWS what it said, but doesn't care. And to top it off, the government official who helped start the Bund, Councilor Gotou's grandfather, has been behaving very oddly and receiving personal calls from Telomere.

To put it simply, things are getting really freaking bad. And the next officially translated volume won't be released in the US until NEXT JANUARY! WHY MUST THEY DO THIS TO ME?!

What'd you expect, The Three Great Vampire Lords (now just two) have been playing dirty from the beginning, it's obvious what they want and will go out of their way to get it. Despite how things are bad, there's always something that turns it all around. It's just a matter of who does it and how will it be done.
