It's not a really big deal, it's just they don't understand "why" I could possibly like Anime.
Since I live on my own it doesn't bother me, it would be a lot more fun if they would at least understand.
And yeah it's the same thing with cartoons. Anime is rather new to Holland.
Every Anime picture I show to somebody who doesn't like anime they always go like "Hey Pokémon!!...right?"
It's the only thing they know.... Anime and Manga altogether.
My dad also did the
face at me while watching the "bottle Fairy" Anime.
I have to agree, that Anime is designed for kids only, I can tell, but if you are trying to learn more japanese like me it is an anime of great value
I tried explaining that too, but they go like "Why would you learn Japanese? you never go there..."
