The narration from the end of the previous chapter further supports my thoughts, since it said that the current age will come to an end, regardless of who wins or loses this war. After all, there's still other factors to consider, like the possibility of Dragon, Blackbeard, and those silver medalist pirates who want Whitebeard dead getting involved at a later point. Any of those guys might end up being the ones to kick-start the gears of the "new age" into motion......
