Young Ruri does have a different look in her eyes compared to her present self. Notice the "Adam & Eve" reference when Arclight gave Ruri the perfect Psychokinesis power through his ribs. The chapter itself was called "Genesis", and in the original Genesis, Eve was born from Adam's rib.
That basically make Ruri "Eve" to Arclight who is also "Adam".
BTW, Eve would probably never kick her habit of wearing highly skin exposure clothing.
