Thats the objective of their quest. To gather materials and parts to rebuild Disk's body since they still have no idea where the others are after the PF Zero blast. Cruz obtained one of the required parts after the killer girls academy arc. They just happened to get into trouble in the latest arc trying to defend the town from Simeon.
