Wait the TV series didn't faithfully adapt the Golden Egg arc? That's not how I heard it. Or are you reffering to the Studio 4*C wanting to do a big ass adaption of the entire series?
These movies didn't seem to run in many theatres but had a good box office average from what I've been able to gather. If the third film (Decent) does well, they could concievably carry over anticipation into new material.
