You mean the recent one? That wasn't pseudo philosophy. Tobi's motive involved removing free will by removing individuality (something he's done to himself with that mask) and Naruto was emphasising his free will through his own individuality. I actually thought it made sense and was well set up. Tobi's plan was known for quite some time and Naruto's rejection stems from a major part of his identity that has been built up since chapter 1.
This is just random nonsense in comparison (though I suppose it's still enjoyable to some).
