This episode really pushed me away from the show. Why? Mainly the pool scene.
Eita's talk must have been a hell of a lot more convincing in Japanese than English, because I have no idea why Masuzu decided to go drown herself.
I was really put off by the guys in the class cheering when she stood up to go swim, and the way everyone just stood around when she drowned.
Eita's line about that kid indirectly causing Masuzu's death was completely unrealistic for someone with a friend dying in front of them.
Masuzu is a lot sweeter when she comes to, which is plausible given that Eita just saved her life, and then the people adapting the show decided to go directly from a Masuzu chapter to one for Chiwa, one which I felt was more powerful. While I do believe Chiwa's connection to Eita is much more powerful than his with Masuzu, I don't approve of how they're sidelining half of the show's heroines (at that point).

I sure hope you don't watch too much anime expecting perfect realism.
