And that is why Shana II bored me for a good 12 straight weeks. Honestly, not every idea that an author comes up with is good enough to be animated. You make cuts so as to keep the interest of your viewers, not to please the fans of an adaptation by remaining completely faithful.

well, in the end this is Yasuko Kobayashi's and Takashi Watanabe's story, any praise or blame should be placed at their feet, not Takahashi's.
