I did think about that... Perhaps most children are like Ginko and other Mushishis, but what makes them rare is that they never lose their connection to the Mushi (should I be capitalizing that?
) as they grow up. But of course, even most of the boys and occasional girls the stories revolve around can't actually
see mushis, even as their lives are being impacted by them.
