Even if Bayern are the team to beat, they should know they can't get ahead of themselves whoever comes in front of them. Just thinking of last year's final should be a clear indicator that a cup tie doesn't have to be won by the better team on the pitch.

I agree on that. Milan was simply the better team yesterday. Defensively solid, kept the lines close together and created several good chances. They simply exploited the weaknesses of Barcelona very effectively. That said, there is still a full match to play in Nou Camp, anything is possible.
Chelsea last season on the other hand...now that was a statistic anomaly. They retained an impossibly high conversion rate while giving away loads of chances per game that opponents somehow kept missing.
If Barcelona will be eliminated, it really opens up the stage. There's about half a dozen team left who have the potential to win it.
