also, it does not matter if touma's hand negates, which is actually even more effective for misaka, because any changes to the feedback she recieves would mean that something is there. it's the same thing with radar, where abnormalities in the returning wave means that something is there. a big hole in the feedback would practically be screaming BOGEY OVER THERE.
