No web site in particular has helped me that much. I listened to all 90 of the Pimsleur Japanese lessons, and downloaded virtually everything from JapanesePod101.com, but most of the original learning was from books. Things like "The Idiot's Guide to Japanese" and "Japanese for Dummies".
But all that was 2008-2009. I've been working with Baka-Tsuki since then, and that has helped things along enormously.
