throughout that confrontation I kept thinking which part of his supposed retreat is a lie, I know that you can't really trust this man but I failed to see any danger of him lying that part as well....So as much that there's no big epic fight and such there's still some degree of tension due to the nature of Kaiki's character. You just don't know what to expect from him. Maybe even his self proclaimed title is a lie as well.
I just have a feeling that this will not be the last time we see him. Probably not in Nisemonogatari, but in future NisioIshin works.
