Wow it almost makes Monogatari look like it's got a steady cam thing going on by comparison. Though it's kind of the type of opening one ought to expect from Kyoani by now. For as much effort as they sometimes put into the direction of certain key scenes in their shows they're pretty underwhelming when it comes to opening and closing themes aside from that they usually have dancing in them. It helped spark a meme back when Haruhi first aired and the dance theme craze wasn't as prominent but when you now literally have at least a few shows a season with dancing in them and with every increasing levels of detail and choreography it kind of becomes hard to stand out the way that one did. Especially when it looks like your opening was edited in windows movie maker.

As for the rest of the opening, man does it feel like they went over a checklist of everything you'd expect to see included in a textbook Kyoani anime. You've got the sparsely cloudy skies (check), the light bloom effects (mega check), the 360 zoom around of the character (check), girl eating and looking very puzzled by the fact she's doing so and like she wants to discuss the intricacies about what she's about to consume at length (check), girl in cheerleader outfit (fan service check), CATS!! (check-zunyan), girl with silly hat dancing, (check) sunlit windows and hardwood school floors (double check), guy riding a bike really fast uphill (check), girls having fun at the beach (check), purple tinted sunset to establish atmosphere (check), and last but not least girl striking a sassy pose (triple check). Did they miss anything? Maybe the sakura petal bloom effect? Anyway looks like an attempt to recreate the conditions under which K-On became popular at first glance, I'm sure it will be a very successful and meaningful show for people that have loved Kyoani in the past, it looks to have that specter about it immediately that they are to deliver EXACTLY what one would expect content wise.
