Domestic shops have some quirks that Japanese shops can't. Some people don't like importing, whether it be the wait or customs or shipping fees or anything. It's also usually possible to visit a domestic shop and see the merchandise before buying. I would open up a shop only if I could have it in an actual building, with a handful of staff and open during most of the day (most domestic shops I know don't like people visiting their warehouse, and they're only open from ~ 10 AM to 6 PM (what kind of non-NEET can go shopping at those hours?
