the seven heroes were actually good guys. That Schenlwolen(sp?) guy was far more evil than one would expect, sacrificing all those girls for his own ambitions. Well, i guess it helps us emphatize with the protaganists more.

Plus he's got a girl from every age group(loli, teen, and mature), but how useful can they really be? Well, Ato is ok, but Peepi and Altea I'm not sure. I just hope they aren't made into useless "damsels in distress", as that kind of story element bores the hell out of me.

As for the Berserk comparsions, they don't really feel alike, simply because all of the supernatural elements involved.

no none of the girl not even the loli became damsels in distress. Altea was useful later on with the contacts she made as a smuggler and as pipi, just wait for vol7
