The identity of Reina's artifact is revealed:



It turns out that she and a colleague/subordinate have identical artifacts similar to Masane's. The white blade is none other than Reina herself, while the identity of the blue blade is her subordinate. They actually manage to take out the three Chubby guys in the process.



Apparently, this sets up the basis for episode 5, as WitchBlade Masane confronts the two rival WitchBlades for the first time.

Interesting, which makes me think of something from the original american comics.

In the anime design, the main character's Witchblade has 1 red gem.

In the original series, the Witchblade had 3 gems, Red, Blue, and White.

If they are keeping the connection to the original Witchblade series (which can easily be done with the not so distant future timeframe they seem to be in)...

Then maybe these 3 could be all elements of the original witchblade that had been seperated for some reason.
