Simply put, it's because, as I said at the start, there's a lot of shows out recently in which there was an attempted rape, or molestation without any clear indication of whether it went all the way to rape or not. I suppose it may be difficult to interestingly but tactfully indicate that an assault or abuse extended to rape, but I'm sure it can be done.
As for how I stated I view deception as rape, it's a bit of a fine line. It depends on under just what sort of conditions or situations the person would consent, and whether the other person knowingly and deliberately deceived that person to make them say yes. For example, read the start of Uwasa no Midori-kun(manga). That for one is a rape in my book, though I imagine it wouldn't stand up in court.
Just where in Full Moon was there a rape? I haven't seen all that much of it and it's been a while.
I may have to look up this Condor Hero thing, since it brought on so much discussion.
