Easy, she, without much medical background, can only sit back and watch and pray/cry. Then, having had the doctor in on the whole conspiracy, he can just "pretend to try", and then look down and shake his head, and she'll just breakout in tears, and all he has to do is hold her back and just be like "oh poor sweetheart, i'm sorry there's nothing i can do".
Though i was more or so joking when i said it was "the butlers". As someone pointed out, it's "always the butlers" ;P.
And lol @ the "it's the battler" haha...would be a very weird twist
