While it wasn't poorly animated, it wasn't particularly great either. Plenty of cost cutting shots, sometimes slightly disfigured characters. Overall, it did not hurt the anime, but it didn't really stand out.

Every Seiyuu did an amazing job on this, there's no other way to put it.

It's been awhile since I was this hooked to an anime. The premise is superb, and thanks to the 2-cour format, SG did not suffer the same fate as Chaos;Head. There are very few loose-ends left untied at the end of the series, and the story itself is engaging.
Soundtrack: N/A
I don't do soundtrack review, but anyone felt the OP sounds kinda like old Rockman (Megaman) OPs?
Enjoyment: 10
I definitely enjoyed my journey across the Alpha and Beta line with Hooin Kyoma. Every episode left me wanting for more. Even though the ending was not the "bang" everyone was hoping for, it didn't suck, and that's saying a lot considering the scriptwriters nowadays.
Emotional Involvement: 9
I found myself cheering for the self-proclaimed mad scientist, a lot.
