Looked it up and one of the results was "leftover/remaining" which makes sense except it's not the same kanji. I'm trying kanji lookup right now but I have to largely guess on the stroke count because darnit it's too low res and blurry for me to make it out properly.
Anyway have I mentioned that this is the most awesome thing I've read today!? Speaking of which if that's the case I gotta hurry up and watch Goku before summer starts.

This looks to be the right one? Means "regret, repent, confess sins," which also makes sense.

And another that looks extremely similar... means remorse. And both are non-jouyou. :\
