He's not really slacking off though. He's leaving the stuff others can accomplish to them while doing what he can do himself. Like in the recent episode with Kuro Usagi talking about doing those trials might take years, Izayoi went and did them right away. On the other hand, he knew the girls and Jin could handle Fores Garo situation so he left it to them.
