So the VN will be the third and supposed final and complete version of Total Eclipse in terms of Yoshimune canon, after the Tech Gain serialisation and LN compilations. This would mean there may never be a 6th LN. I would laugh if he leaves the 6th LN open so that he could revise whatever was revealed at the end of the VN.
I really wonder how much more material would the VN have compared to the Tech Gain version.
Japanese wiki always described the Tech Gain chapters thus far as "Part 1", implying that a future sequel is likely, beyond the VN.
In preparation for it, I would suggest trying to find the LNs or read the official websites's Tech Gain summaries, or get Altered Fable for the Yui railgun testing prologue.
