Nah, catgirls are still going to be king. Mithras were pretty much the most popular race in XI.

I really think so. Yoshi P seems to really know what he's doing has avoided many of mistakes the previous team did. Also unlike Tanaka, (FFXI and FFXIV producer/director) he has a really strong PC background not to mention rather inspiring dedication his staff has put fought into the game. I think the real question here won't be the quality of the game, but rather "can SE overcome FFXIV's stigma"?
