It's also worth noting that Kazumi had the doll on her in chapter 180 as well. Hence, I have a feeling that those two have been experimenting with the doll since August, with the recent chapter covering Sayo trying to walk while in the doll.

Very much agree on this. Considering the way 182 ended, I thought for sure that 183 would be the official start of the Wales arc. Instead, we get a "filler" chapter that appears to have been tacked on as a result of Ken Akamatsu having a few pages than usual this chapter (only 15 pages this time aroudn instead of the usual 16 or 18) and hence wanted to save the first "true" chapter of the Wales arc for a "full chapter".

To make matters worse, look at the current release schedule for Negima:

AUG 1: No chapter due to Ken taking a break
AUG 8: Chapter 184
AUG 15: No chapter due to Chapter 184 being part of a double issue (although there's a chance that the chapter may be online early)
AUG 22: Chapter 185

Basically, we're going to have two periods where we have to wait two long weeks for a chapter for Negima, and with the most recent chapter being filler IMO, it's gong to be a rough time waiting for a chapter that would start an arc that many Negima readers have been waiting months for.
