Saki has a flashy epic comeback style just like Hulk Hogan. Nodoka is pure skill much like Randy Savage. Together they are the MegaPowers: The Immortal Sakster and Macho-Boobs!
Touka is the Million Dollar Girl who tries to
buy her way to victory, but is still admittedly a talented competitor deserving of respect... very much like The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase. Koromo is the absolute monster heel that strikes fear into the hearts of her opponents, and she works for Touka... very similar to Andre the Giant when he teamed up with Ted DiBiase. Hajime is Touka's dedicated servant, bought and paid for, and Hajime is also a competitor deserving of respect... very much like Ted DiBiase's Virgil.
The parallels between Saki Season 1 and WrestleManias III and IV was rather amusing to me.
Now, it goes further...
Teru strikes fear into her opponent's hearts even more than Koromo does. She makes her opponents feel like they're going to get buried, literally. She also is tall, silent, and deadly. Her hand motions are frightening and decisive. She's The Undertaker of Mahjong.
The Undertaker, it should be noted, was brought into the WWF by Ted DiBiase, and followed in Ted's footsteps as a major rival of Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage. Likewise, Teru is following in Touka's footsteps as a major rival for Saki and Nodoka.
The Undertaker is very rare in that he actually has a career winning record against Hulk Hogan - 2-to-1. Likewise, Teru probably has a career winning record against Saki.
Now, one more comparison just for the lolz...
If anybody wants me to explain this last comparison, I will, lol.
