This was a surprisingly informative chapter with Oda beginning to address the "Lost History" with info we learned several hundred chapters ago. My prediction about Jimbei not joining turned out true and will probably stay that way. Still, I'm doubtful that they'll leave Fishmen Islan without their tenth and final crewmate in tow.

I don't think this arc is over yet, however. MHQ has already learned the Mugiwaras are still alive and will soon learn the recent developments of Fishmen Island. Letting them into the New World would be yet another embarassment and blunder for them. MHQ will show-up and that fight will further destroy the isle, causing Luffy to go on a rampage and fulfill the promise made 800 years ago.
