If I remember correctly (been a while since I've read Chobits) that floppy/CD contained the memories of Chii from before she met Hideki. The memories of the issues her sister had concerning their father and the "death" of her sister because of that. She (Chii)was rebooted and started with a blank sheet again (memory wise that is) in her quest to find the person just for her.

correct me if I'm wrong, it's been quite a while since I've read/seen Chobits
