We have inner-semes. Don't underestimate us.
In fact, I am more inclined to think that Singaporeans tend to be
kuuderes, ranting about how much they hate their government in closed quarters but being slightly thankful for what they have.
We are a city of mostly passive extroverts who are not too open or friendly but still considered as so - you should have seen how the otaku community reacted when AFA started offering ridiculously overpriced staying package rates; most were pulling strings, calling up backpacker hotels and arranging stayovers for their overseas friends; some even went costume shopping for matching characters.
Unfortunately, it seems that the community became a little colder towards foreign otaku given the general anti-foreign-talent sentiments. It is incredibly bad because the otaku communities started drifting apart - it is hard to find a whole cosplay team of acquaintances consisting of more than 10 people nowadays.
