I've been using these guys LED strip kits, which work very similar to Dioders

They give you a choice of warm or cool, and the LEDs are brighter and longer in length than Dioder. The only con is that it's not compatible with Dioder connections, and the cords to the switch is much shorter.
Make sure and use "cool white" for most anime figurines.
I've taken these pictures and posted them a while back, here's the comparison between the above strip kit and IKEA Dioder (with new warm white)
