Yeah, the fan service / ecchi really kills the potential this show has, because the manga is so much better by leaps and bounds.
I mean at one point it's been said that the team behind the anime has had meetings on point of views done from the knee level purely just to get more fan service in, and that's not what makes R+V entertaining at all as a manga. Hell, that's barely present to begin with in the manga.
