The final episode was in my opinion not good at all.

The first half was too overly dramatic and the emotional scenes didn't seem to work for me at all. Also there was still the cliche of the good guys getting cornered and almost losing and then came a chance to turn the odds into their favor.
Gai's motivation for all of this was not a suprise to me, because of the last episode when Inori asked why Gai was sad.
Also i have no idea how Mana disappeared out of Inori after Gai was defeated.
Shuu surviving was the last episode was somewhat suprising, because I thought he would sacrifice himself selflessly to save the world using his own void (in similar way like Madoka), but getting saved from crystalizing by Inori was somewhat spoiled in the opening.
Eventhough Inori died in the end, somehow i could not feel anything from that loss. Mainly because i couldn't get emotionally attached to her, because Inori was very bland in 3/4 of the serie.
Arisa and Daryl surviving also seemed quite odd. Personally i hoped that they would have died, considering what they have done the entire serie.
The epilogue is somewhat dissatisfying, because in the end it says nothing.
So the world is in peace after Gai was defeated..... which i do find it a little hard to believe. Also i would liked to know what happened to all of the other characters, instead we get a cliche reunion with some of the main characters.

Overall the serie was entertaining, but I think it's worse than Code Geass R2. Eventhough R2 had similar problems (like the writing) as Guilty Crown, it was more satisfying overall and the things that needed the be answered were mostly answered,
