As for BGMs, at least two of the BGMs during the character intro scenes in ep 1 were based on the character's insert song in S1. (Otoya and Shou definitely, perhaps Masato, too... but not Natsuki or Tokiya, at least as far as I'm aware. I don't remember Ren's song.
