Well you're simply wrong. By definition it is a defense, it is a counterclaim, when you're in self defense. That is a justification.

Do you think the person who killed in self defense doesn't feel the same way about the people sympathizing with the person who
attempted to murder him? From his perspective that's the same as saying "he should have murdered you why didn't you let him?". Let's leave it at that because this is getting very off topic and you simply aren't explaining yourself well.
